Biography

Julie Bonnel-Rogers is a senior associate at Pahl & McCay. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation with an emphasis in business litigation, real estate/housing litigation, employment litigation, cyber-security breach litigation and probate litigation.

Ms. Bonnel-Rogers graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. During college, she interned in the United States House of Representatives in Washington D.C., then spent a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps on the Island of Saipan before entering law school. She graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law with Oral Advocacy Honors, the Wiley W. Manual Recognition Award, and the “USF Advocate of the Year” title, and was a Regional Semi-Finalist in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

Cybersecurity and the protection of business and consumer data is an issue of growing concern. Ms. Bonnel-Rogers has published articles and has been a speaker at various conferences relating to the subject of Division 11 of the California Commercial Code as it pertains to cybersecurity breach and its effects on small businesses in California.
