Business & Commercial Litigation
Our attorneys maintain a close working relationship with each client to ensure that specific legal strategies are consistent with its particular business and personal objectives. We are particularly sensitive to the financial impact of litigation and make every effort to formulate strategies that are suitable to each client’s unique financial condition.
Our litigators handle a variety of matters at all court levels and administrative agencies, providing substantial litigation experience in a wide variety of commercial disputes involving:
- Contract enforcement
- Real estate transactions and development
- Partnership and corporate governance
- Landlord-tenant relations
We are well versed in the developing trends of liability arising out of:
- Wage and hour law
- Discrimination in employment
- Secured transactions
- Rent control
- Business-related torts (unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and invasion of privacy)
We are proficient in handling large and complex litigation, including defense of class actions, and several of our litigators are engaged as appellate counsel in federal and state court matters. In our appellate practice, we are frequently called upon to represent a client after a trial matter has been handled by separate counsel, and we have been retained to write amicus briefs to the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.
There are few businesses that are not impacted in some way by the enforcement of state and federal regulations. We have advised clients in responding to a wide variety of administrative actions, and our attorneys are well-equipped to counsel clients in understanding the applicable regulations, negotiating with administrative agencies, participating in administrative hearings and appealing administrative decisions to the appropriate court.
